SCROLL
CONCEPT
Evolution. Revolution. Perfection.
Peaches and plums do not talk, yet a path is formed beneath them.
People are drawn to their delectable aromas, and instinctively create a road beneath their branches.
Based on this concept first described in the Records of the Grand Historian,
Takeshi Kobayashi breaks free from convention and steps out into a new world.
Evolution. Revolution. Perfection.
A place to get together with good friends.

Space and nature
As you step into KOBAYASHI, you are immediately surrounded by a design language
based on the concept of space and nature.
This design project was organized by the landscape planner Junsuke Masui,
who utilizes stone, wood, and other natural materials
to connect interiors and exteriors to bring people face-to-face with Mother Earth.
Gaze at the pleasant planted trees at the approach, and step inside
to reach the threshold of an enchanted enclosure.
Like one guided by the sweet scent of peach trees, you find yourself walking forward,
your eyes following the cascading ripples of the stone wall,
as you take the hewn steps down to the main entrance.
Pass through the tranquility here, glance upon the traditional fixtures,
and greet your good friend waiting for you in the restaurant.
As you follow this path surrounded by nature,
you may feel as if you are entering a forest under a moonlit sky.
The reception area exudes energy yet is enveloped in an almost mystical stillness.
The reception counter creates a bold impression with Makabe granite;
another feature designed by Junsuke Masui.
Entering KOBAYASHI is more than just visiting a restaurant.
It is a journey that intertwines dreams and reality; an opportunity to experience something truly special.
